So, legally inclined flisters
Sep. 13th, 2010 05:41 pmI have a question, if you feel so inclined. "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" was ruled against by a U.S. District judge. So, yay! But my question is, can a U.S. District judge effect the military law system? As far as I knew, they were pretty separate. You give up a hell of a lot of rights to be in the military and military offenders are prosecuted by military lawyers in military courts according to the UCMJ, right? So, can this ruling actually do anything? I'm puzzled.
