The season thus far

I haven't actually talked about my shows much yet (except Supernatural), so now I shall comment on all the things in my TiVo. Ordered by day of the week.

Chuck
I still don't buy Sarah/Chuck. Sorry but I'm not feeling the chemistry there at all. Oh well. I'm really enjoying the rest of the show, I think it's improved in its second season and all is going well.

Moments of squee:
- DJ!Casey. Oh Adam Baldwin, you sir are made of win.
- Backstory!!! For Sarah, for Buy More people. I love me some backstory.
- Dissing of the Zune. *snirk*

NCIS
I'm actually really liking this season thus far. I know a few folks on the flist aren't as into it, but so far I like. I'm very interested to see where they take both the Lee (she's evil!) and Ziva (so what exactly happened in Israel?) storylines.

Squee:
- Gibbs' dad! Team's reaction to Gibbs' dad! Much love. So nice for the senior Gibbs to met the 'grandkids'
- Serial killer who targets Gibbs as his 'catch me if you can' guy. And Gibbs figuring it out from all the little clues. Very cool, I do so love me a good serial killer storyline (not real serial killers, they're scary and creepy and yuck)
- Anyone else feeling a bit of ramping up on the UST on the Tony/Ziva front?

The Mentalist
So far, I like it though I can't really tell you why. The main character intrigues me. *shrug*

Bones
I miss Zach. I really like Sweets. B/B continues to rock. What is up with Jack and Angela? Seriously, they need to work that out. Even though I miss Zach, I am kinda loving the 'new intern every week' thing they've got going on. Also, so many shows don't handle the loss of a character well and on Bones you're really feeling it. Zack didn't just disappear never to be heard from or mentioned again. His loss is clearly keenly felt by the team, especially Jack and Brennen.

Looking forward to: New episodes!!! Thank goodness baseball is over. Angela's ex-girlfriend and Booth's brother Jared.

Supernatural
This season has been amazing. The best thus far. I tend not to trust showrunners because they have this nasty habit of not paying things off or not paying things off well. Kripke does not have this problem at all as was clearly demonstrated in 'In the Beginning.' With the exception of 'Yellow Fever' (which felt a bit off for some reason), this season has been consistently amazing. Only one request—more Sam please!

Amusements/Squee:
- Angels! Demons! The Apocalypse! I really love the epicness of my show.
- Mary was a hunter!?! Really, really the family business.
- What is with this family and the deal making? Seriously.
- Ghost panic room. Bobby, you are made of awesome :) Also, the speaking of Japanese.
- Jamie! A girl I actually like and like with Dean.
- Two "bad guys" I have felt a bit sorry for, the shapeshifter from 'Monster Movie' and the ghost from 'Yellow Fever'
- Jensen Ackles. Eye of the Tiger. 'Nuff said.

Numb3rs
I really like Don this season, he seems more settled and thoughtful. It's really interesting how he wants Charlie's clearance back but really doesn't like the implications that he's the go to guy for getting a case closed regardless of how many rules are broken. Don knows the rules are there for a reason and even though he sometimes bends or outright breaks them he still wants someone to call him on it.

Is it just me or are Charlie and Amita not really going anywhere? They're dating and kinda status quo but there was so much going on with the house and his parents last year that it feels like there's nothing going on there this season. Are they moving in together? Is Alan moving out? Are they getting married? Anything going on?

Colby, Colby, Colby. Dang man. When you break the rules, you really break the rules.

The dynamic duo of Colby and David continues to rock. Love how they're teasing the newbie. "Pre-therapy Don" vs "Post-therapy Don" Hee.

New girl is cool. Or will be once she gets the difference between the LAPD and the FBI.

I'm glad Robin's still around and that Don made a stand about wanting her to stay in LA.

Life
I just got into this one over the summer. Yay for Hulu. I find Charlie amusing and his dynamics with Ted and Reese are much fun. I wish there was more series arch stuff this year, it's been a bit light. Not sure how I feel about the new captain.

Wondering why Atlantis isn't on here? Well, I'm about four or five episodes behind and very apathetic about the whole thing. Last season or not. I'll catch up eventually.

I agree, Supernatural is ROCKING this season! Kripke's definitely stepped it up and isn't holding anything back. I can't wait for tonight's episode :D :D :D Apparently it's called "It's The Great Pumpkin, Sam Winchester".

I should get back into watching NUMB3RS. I haven't watched it in AGES, but I really like it, it's so interesting.

The titles of the episodes alone make this season of Supernatural rock. I mean - 'Are You There, God? It's Me... Dean Winchester' and 'It's The Great Pumpkin, Sam Winchester' are hilarious.

Numb3rs is one of my fave cop shows. How long as it been since you watched? Were you watching for the great Colby Granger surprise that ended one season?

You mean the part where he was a double agent working for the Chinese but not actually because he was infiltrating them but to do that he had to be a "spy" in the Feds and Don and everyone had no idea what was really going on and they were trying to figure it out before Colby could get killed?

I saw part of that, so I kind of know what happened but I'm still really fuzzy on a lot of it. I think I stopped watching partway through season 2, something like that.

Yep, that bit. The whole arch of that season played really well as did the season premier that followed. Good stuffs :)

You and I watch most of the same shows, except I don't watch Life. Cool. Someone new to squee with. :)

Cool beans! Great TV minds think alike :)

This season of Supernatural has outdone itself, that's for sure. I have nitpicked maybe a couple of things, and even that was pushing it when this season has been so incredible.

Jensen shimmying and playing leg guitar to "Eye of the Tiger" is going to forever live in infamy. <3!

Hey :)

Charlie's pretty good at explaining the concept behind the maths, everything else I just kinda ignore 'cause I'm so not going to get it. Season four and five are good stuffs :)
