Caution: Microwaving a sponge may cause yuckiness

Microwave experiments cause sponge disasters. So apparently you can sterilize a kitchen sponge by microwaving it for 2 minutes. However, you must soak the sponge down first or badness ensues. I think this falls in the category of weird and semi useful.
