It was a busy entertainment related Friday :)
Dollhouse was interesting. There are many little threads of things going on that I really want to see the resolution to, so I'm definitively going to keep watching. I want to know why Echo's in the Dollhouse, how the Dollhouse came to be, what's up with Alpha, what's up with Sierra, and who the guy sending the pic to the FBI agent is. I think the depth of the personalities they create for the actives is intriguing. The fact that "Ms. Penn" recognized her former kidnapper was fascinating. The level of detail in each personality is amazing. The negotiator had asthma!
I think Eliza did a good job. I've heard some reviewers really not liking her acting, but I bought it. I was kinda disappointed by the lack of quips...this is a Joss Whedon for goodness sake, where are my quips?!
Friday the 13th scared the crap out of me. Much, much better that the original in my opinion. The original suffered from a huge boring so called "build up" and a condensed set of scares. Not a problem at all in this movie. The killing starts pretty much right away and keeps pace through the whole movie. Good tiny humor breaks were nice. The seemingly required horror film nudity was not. There was a bit of a plot, but not by much despite the interesting origins of Jason himself. I like the plot of My Bloody Valentine better but Friday was much, much scarier.
